Aureality is planned as four connected layers. We are building the first one now. The others follow once it works well.

.are, a file for anything real
Every object Aureality knows about is stored as an .are file (Aureality Reality Entity): one open, scale-free format that can describe a single screw, an armchair or a whole city, and that you can keep private or choose to share.
- 1Identity. A stable ID, a scale index and a privacy mode.
- 2Space and physics. Geometry, materials and composition.
- 3Relations. What it is made of, and where it lives.
- 4Meaning. Names, notes, memories and AI descriptions.
- 5Timeline. How it moved and changed over time.
- 6Ownership. Encrypted on your device by default, shared only when you decide.

Europe
Built in Europe, with European values
Aureality is made in the Czech Republic and designed around the rules and goals Europe sets for digital products: your data under your control, trustworthy AI, open standards and a circular economy.
Privacy by design (GDPR)
Room photos are stored on our own server in the Czech Republic. No advertising trackers, no selling of data, and your photos are never used to train AI. You can see, download or delete everything. Read the privacy note.
Trustworthy AI (EU AI Act)
We are building with the EU AI Act in mind. The app always shows when an answer comes from AI, AI only suggests, and you make every decision about your things. We name the AI providers we use in the privacy note.
Open standards
The .are format is open under Apache 2.0, so your data is never locked into one app, and anyone can read, write and build on it.
Circular economy
Sell, Donate, Repair and Recycle are built into how you sort. Knowing what you own is the first step to using things longer and wasting less.
Research and funding
We plan to apply to European research and innovation programmes such as Horizon Europe, and we welcome research partners working on spatial computing, 3D reconstruction or the circular economy. Write to [email protected].

An independent project, early and honest
Aureality is a small independent project, not yet a registered company. The first app, Aureality Space, is heading into a private alpha for people who are moving house or decluttering. We share what works and what does not as we go.
